Dosimetrist

The Radiation Oncology Department at Turville Bay is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist (80% FTE) to join our team. Turville Bay offers state-of-the-art technology in a serene and beautiful environment.  Providing a full range of services for the treatment for cancer and other diseases, the facility is designed for the care and comfort of its patients.  

 

The dosimetrist’s responsibilities will include working with three physicians, two physicists and two additional CMDs to generate treatment plans for  60 – 70 patients per day (20% IMRT).

 

Our facility contains three Varian 21 EX linear accelerators, a Phillips Brilliance Big Bore CT, Pinnacle planning system and IMPAC R & V.  Our outpatient clinic offers a full range of services including Stereotacic Radiosurgery, SBRT, IMRT, prostate seed and on-site MRI capabilities

 

Position requires:

    • CMD
    • IMRT planning Experience

Additional experience in Pinnacle SmartArc, SRS, SBRT, and IGRT a plus. 

Radiation Therapist

Turville Bay MRI and Radiation Oncology Center has a vacancy for a Radiation Therapist position (70% FTE). 

 

In a collaborative role with the radiation oncology team, our Radiation Therapists provides treatments and quality patient care. Main responsibilities include the accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments to patients through prescribed dosage.  Position also includes teaching and supportive care for patients and family going through the treatment process.  The therapist must have a thorough understanding of the rationale for radiation therapy as well as skills in patient assessment and interpersonal communication.

 

Essential requirements include graduate from an accredited program of Radiation Therapy and must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.  Experience a plus.
